I found these guys from the Witchdoctor record from 'o7 featured on the track "The Barrel". All I can say is: HOLY SHIT!!!! This album is one of my favorite that i discovered from another rapper's album. I didn't this mixtape existed, so i didn't get it until i found a download link on there Myspace. (they are even from Atlanta, oh shit! SAME PLACE AS ME LOL) Prepare yourself for the review...(lol)


1. I Can't Make My Shoulders Lean

This title track made me laugh more than anything! It's actually really comic and not one to pass by because its short or simplistic, because it's not at all!

2. Classic Cars

One of the best beats on the whole album, mos def a banger for the car. Lyrically its not the same as the rest of there stuff, but how much can you say about cars, but if you wanna look like a badass, bump it.

3. Muscian's Diary

This is the lyrical content I love from the Wheeler Boys, and its a really creative track, one of my favorite from the album.

4. The Barrel (with Witchdoctor)

5. This Is My Rifle (feat. Veteran)

This track has a sick intro and chorus! Lyrical content at par, but not something you would want people to know you listen to, they might think you are crazy! haha just fucking with you, screw everybody!

6. Look At Me

This, unfortantly, is a filler...Im not a big fan, sorta like the first track but not as comical, not one of my favorites, but its only one song on a fucking sweet album!

7. Thumbs Down/ Southside

Pretty fair track, i actually used this track as an inspiration to one of my drawings. The beginning is my favorite part its a fucking sick verse.

8. Grown Folk Music

Another killer beat, another killer intro, and killer lyrics! Def one of the best one the album in my opinion. If I had to pick a couple of great tracks this would be one.

9. Seeds of Memories

Creative and thought-provoking. Almost makes me sad and think...one of my favorites, but still sorta depressing to me.

10. Bet You Won't (Shoot That Cop)

People may give you funny looks if you play this since its a subject like the title suggest, but lyrically its crazy, another great one.

11. Fuck What The Man Say

I like the begginning but after that it feel off for me, not one of my favorites.

12. Country Folk

Even though its one of their most widley known songs, i dont like the beat, but i love the lyrics! Maybe a remix will be sparked from my post? (lol)

13. City Time

.........TOP THREE ON THE ALBUM!!! IM TYPING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE THIS SONG KICKS SO MUCH ASS! LISTEN TO IT OR YOU ARE A FAGGOT!

14. Scout Troop Leader

^-- funniest title and song on the album. Has a special meaning since i was a boy scout as a wee lad, haha too funny.

15. Runnin' Shoes

I dont like the beat much, that chipmunk noise is sorta annoying but i love the verses.

16. I've Been

A great song, give it a hard listen, i love it.

17. Wordsmith

ANOTHER ALL CAPS, YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18. Thoroughbred Mutt

FAVORITE TRACK!!! BEAT= FUCKING SICK, LYRICS = FUCKING SICK, HOOK= FUCKING SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where to get it: This is underground/ indie stuff so you have to get it from there myspace, its free you should go to the library and download it onto there computer...there is no reason not to have it!

If you read the header then you've been greeted already, no reason to over-do-it. This blog will strive hard to bring you reviews, links, and information on some underrated and undiscovered hip-hop acts I encounter, because lets be honest none of ya'll care about how my day went at work. So i figured lets start this thing off with a review!

I first discovered this album on the Adult Swim website along with two sample tracks. I was very impressed because i was already a fan of Witchdoctor who i discovered in my early teens through OutKast and Goodie Mob, and for the record im obessed with the Dungeon Family, I've met them got their numbers in my phone, ask about me! But anyway, The album to me wasn't for the mainstream because to most of the ignorant masses Witchdoctor comes off as corney and almost comedic, but people are dumb so its hard to talk to them, let alone, convince them that Witchdoctor is one of the greatest solo artist from Atlanta. This album is a collaboration of old and new tracks from some of his previous albums. It features a few artist I've never even heard of with crazy verses from everyone, but lets break it down!

1. God iz Good

This song shows of EJ's ability to sing alongside his beast-mode rapping skills. This track even gets played by MY GRANDMOTHER! Its not a gospel Sunday morning Amazing Grace but it is a worship song to God.

2. Just Like You

An average song for EJ, he could of come harder but its still overall a good track with a fairly decent beat. Once again it shows his singing off.

3. Suicide Bomber

OH MY GOD! AWESOME! This track is harder than anything you could ever dream of. An introduction that takes your breathe from the beginning and a hook that makes you feel invincible. This song features Ill Nation who isnt another bad rapper in the underground scene!

4. Spell on them Hoes

This song is a verse from a song EJ made with Cunninglyguist(? think i spelled it right) which sounds better with the whole song, because the chorus on that song goes hard! And being only one verse this song almost leaves you hanging...

5. Treasure Chest

Instant counter to Spell because it is the same subject matter and has a eerie beat that can send your ass to the moon! It features some artist or artists even? Im not sure who they are, ive never been able to find them....

6. Cream of da Crop

I was never big on this song, but i dont like Cesh Metah that much either. The beat just annoys me but Witchdoctor alwasys comes hard on lyrics so you know.

7. The Barrel

Instant Classic! This song features The Wheeler Boys who are some of my favorite underground artist (their album will be soon to be reviewed). Funny story, I almost got to see them at Georgia Tech preforming this song which would of been better than anything earthly...stupid military school...lol. Love this song.

8. Dezonly1 Part 2

If you dont know Dezonly1, the original, then you may or may not like this song...i like it because of the eerie sounds and dirty voice over the beat...sends chills down my back lol, wish it was longer...

9. Part of your Brain

Damn...the first time i heard this song i almost shit my pants...its tight! It features Mr. Kool and Khujo Goodie (<--cant go wrong!). All the verses are excellent and on point! This is one of my favorites!

10. Best Year

There arent enough words to tell you how unbelievable this song makes you feel! The intro makes me want to streak down Peachtree Street lol. "Life is basic training like at Fort Bragg" Holy Shit!

11. Semi-Automatic

...not feeling it...the featured rapper makes my ears hurt...probably my least favorite...

12. Prayer Call

This is a spoken word poem by EJ. Its awesome. Nuff said. This is Big Rube caliber.

13. Oxygen

This song isn't one of my favorites either...but not bad...

14. Are You Happy There?

The first couple of times i heard this i wasnt a fan but now after listening to the lyrics closer i love it, im not sure who it features...

15. Jake Got Ya Body

Same reaction to this song as the previous one, and now its one of my favorites.

16. King Of The Beast

One of the greatest on the album! The hook is amazing and the lyrics are so eerie and dark its amazing 5/5!!!

17. Wonderful God

Basically the same as God Iz Good and still good to calm you down after King of the Beast and bring the album to a close.

18. Mercy

Another one of my favorites! It has a great message and is a feel good song!

Where to get it:

This one is a hard find offline but online its everywhere! I found mine at a record store like the weekend it came out. This is a worth buying, online or offline.
